My "Too much information!" cartoon for
Private Eye has been getting a fair bit of attention. I mentioned in a previous posting that I've sold the original and that a greetings card company is planning to use the gag too. Since then, the cartoon has been reprinted in
The Week.
I was also approached by the librarian for Hereford Sixth Form College, who enjoyed the cartoon and thought it would appeal to her students. I was happy for her to print up a few posters for use in her Library, and was really pleased she had taken the trouble to ask before doing so (it's a common gripe among cartoonists that people often reproduce their work without discussing it with them first). The librarian really went to town and my gag is now adorning all manner of door, wall, shelf and unit! I think the posters look great. I've since heard that they've gone down very well with the students, and the librarian was kind enough to send me these photos.
While posting these I noticed that the last photo features a seated sixth former who bears an uncanny resemblance to the character in my cartoon. Or maybe it's just the hood...
