Sketchblog » January 2010 » Postcard from The Gambia
My parents went on holiday to The Gambia earlier this month in an attempt to escape the British winter (it worked - they flew out the day before the snowfall and missed the treacherous 'Big Freeze' altogether).

They sent me this postcard, which is apparently quite an accurate summing up of the local taxi services. I always love to receive postcards with cartoons on them, particularly if they take a wry but well-meaning dig at the places they're depicting. I've no idea whether the artist, Bob Collins, is local to The Gambia. It would be interesting to find out.
