Sketchblog » May 2010 » In praise of cartoonists
An editorial posted on The Guardian's website earlier this week focuses on cartooning, its value to the media and the tough time it is going through as a profession and an art form (Grauniad sister paper The Observer is one of many to have cut cartoons from its pages recently, as I mentioned in an earlier post). The article also gives well-deserved publicity to the Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival, and to the Professional Cartoonists' Organisation. More of this kind of profile-building coverage, please!
